Chaka Orleans Heritage Foundation was in partnership Jay Jay O Afrikanischer Kulturverein to launch their documentary .” The Forgotten Kingdom? Chronicles of the North…” on the 3rd of December 2016 at “Afro Asiatisches Institut Graz”. The documentary is about Naa Gbewa, a prince and cavalry man, who came and established his empire in the area of Modern day Ghana, Burkina Faso and Togo. He was the first King of Modern day Ghana and the first to introduce Chieftaincy as a system of government in this region. The documentary is about the roots of his empire, how it grew and finally fell apart. By educating the people about their common history the documentary is meant to promote peace and unity within the different ethnic groups that once belonged together. Knowing their roots especially the youth will be motivated to start initiatives to develop themselves and their communities for a better future.
The Long term aim of the project is to raise funds to build a University in honor of Naa Gbewa to help accelerate development in the Northern Ghana and Ghana as a whole.
